Melissa Morgan Cobbs

Founder

Melissa has been independently practicing counseling since 2011. Currently, Melissa offers individual counseling, supervision, education, and consulting. She has spent much of her career promoting the wellness of those struggling with co-occurring disorders, mentoring up-and-coming therapists, and advocating for wellness. Melissa enjoys mentoring counselors to find their niche, marketable skills, theoretical orientation, and professional growth.  Her current focus in direct care is over control. Specializing in highly anxious individuals, treatment-resistant depression, and perfectionism. Additionally, Melissa is an adjunct professor at Liberty University in the Counseling and Family Studies Department.

Melissa’s career has included non-profit management and clinical supervision both in agency settings and private practice. Direct care in the hospital setting, inpatient, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and private practice. Melissa has been involved in many community initiatives including working with Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department,  with the Charlotte Homeless Services Network, advocating through the Mecklenburg Mental Health court system, Emergency Department Innovative Team, and more.
